Douglas Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc.|
The Douglas Rifle and Pistol Club is an organization of individuals and families who enjoy and support the lawful use of firearms for sport and defense. DRPC is committed to the conservation of wildlife, the preservation of sport hunting, and the protection of the rights of gun owners.|
DPRC, based in Douglas, Arizona, is affiliated with the National Rifle Association, the Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association, and the Arizona Wildlife Federation.
The club maintains and operates the Douglas Shooting Range, one mile east of Douglas on Geronimo Trail. The club conducts monthly small bore rifle silhouette matches, combat pistol matches, and other shooting-related events.
Throughout the year the club offers Hunter Education courses, Concealed Weapon Permit courses, and courses in the tactical/defensive use of firearms. The club also hosts free sighting-in days prior to hunting seasons.
Except for January, meetings are held the first Thursday of each month. Door prizes are awarded at every meeting. The January meeting is a potluck dinner, held on a Friday. It includes the presentation of awards for the Antler Contest, which is only open to club members, and the election and installation of club officers. The club holds its annual Gun Show in February and has a booth at the Cochise County Fair, at the end of which the drawing for the club’s annual fund-raising raffle is held.
Meetings and activities are noted in a monthly newsletter mailed out during the first week of each month to members. A website catalogs upcoming and past events and news.
Membership applications are available in Microsoft Word format. Completed applications and club dues can be turned into Allsafe Security on 11th St in Douglas or mailed to the club's PO Box.
